I recently had and artificial disc replacement (ADR) performed by Dr. Ritter-Lang. In short, it was amazing. The quality of care, the attentiveness of the hospital and support staff, and the recovery time was fantastic.

Everyone who works here has a great attitude. They take very good care of you. Lumbar spine surgery went great. Recovery is different for everybody. We flew in as a group of four international patients. My roommate was moved to oral pain medication after the first day when he accidentally disconnected his PCA pump tubing. He is experiencing very little pain. The rest of us were on the pump a couple days longer. Some have less pain than others, but we were all up walking within one to two days after artificial disc replacement surgery in the lumbar spine.

First of all, the preliminary talk went perfectly. At first I thought nobody could help me because I was rejected by every hospital. I shed tears when I was told that I could be helped. On the day of the briefing everything went well. I immediately felt very comfortable. The nurses are great, as are the doctors and everyone else, of course. As an anxious patient, I was immediately taken seriously and even my fear of an injection was always taken away from me. The surgery went great too. Before a tablet and the anesthetist was super funny and nice. After the operation I was not allowed to eat immediately and was provided with delicious milkshakes. (I think I was the only one who was immediately hungry) . After the operation, I was given good painkillers, so it was bearable. The food was hamma too. Whether breakfast, lunch or dinner, I was always satisfied. The lunch buffet offer on the last 2 days was also a hit. Great praise. Overall I couldn't complain about anything. I almost felt like I was in a hotel. There was even physiotherapy and massages. (which was very pleasant). The area around the clinic was also nice. I liked walking around outside, there is even a small forest there. The week passed quickly. I'm just satisfied and happy. I'm excited to see how I'm going to recover from the surgery. In Jan 2017, my wife and mother accompanied me from Canada to have a 5 level ADR surgery. Three lumbar, two cervical discs were implanted. Recovery was tough for me because at the time it was the most implants done in one single surgery. Six years and 10 months later, my implants are fine, and I have returned to mostly a normal life. If I hadn't acquired Adhesive Arachnoiditis from previous spinal surgeries in Canada in the 1990s and 2000s, I would probably be 100% healthy today. If I had the opportunity back in the 1990s and 2000s, knowing what I know now, i would have gone immediately to Dr Ritter-Lang. I know Dr. Ritter-Lang is the best, and I know he did a fantastic job on me. We trust him so much that my wife, who needs a one level cervical ADR, is getting her surgery done by Dr Ritter-Lang in October 2023
